The company's focus is on automation, reducing the manual steps in the recruitment process and providing access to all stakeholders, including line/hiring managers, executives and vendors who may be involved such as travel, assessments, and background checking. The forecasting tool segments the workforce, taking into account demographics, skills, value of the function to the company, and other metrics in order to forecast both need and impact.
The company really took off beginning in 2002 when it won a Halliburton contract to automate the hiring of thousands of contractors to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. The company, founded by Laurence Footer the same year he earned his BA from George Washington University, then began filling its executive positions with seasoned industry veterans. Tom FitzSimmons, a senior VP at TMP, was brought in as chief operating officer, and new marketing and sales officers and others were hired.
In 2003 and 2004, the company was named a "Rising Star" in Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 Program for New York. In 2005, the company made the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology firms nationally. The company website also listed a raft of other big-name clients including Merrill Lynch, telecom giant Ericksson, and Airbus.
Since then there's been what appears to be a complete turnover of executives. The website has been redesigned and there's no mention of some of the big-name clients of the past.
