2007 has been a great year for this Georgia-based software firm. It was recognized in the 2007 Technology Fast 50 Program for Georgia by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP. In June, the company announced that it had completed a $5 million capital funding with Jefferson Capital Partners Ltd. and Constellation Software Inc. to launch Pointwing, a new modular staffing and recruiting software platform. Even the online training for Pointwing won an award from The Society for Technical Communication .
VCG was founded in 1976 by Steve Caldwell and Murray Stinson as Caldwell Computer Systems and Spartin Systems. The two firms merged in 1991 as Caldwell-Spartin. The initial product offerings focused on streamlining recruiting processes and temporary staffing operations, payroll and billing. In 2001, Caldwell-Spartin was acquired by VCG, Inc., the original developer of C-PAS for recruiting. In 2007, VCG changed its name to VCG, LLC.
VCG is a Microsoft Certified Partner.

Pointwing
Pointwing is VCG's web-based modular staffing software, launched in 2007. It includes the standard applicant capture and in-bound job ordering all front-office programs must have. But Pointwing offers significant user controls permitting the addition of user defined fields, screen display modification and it has two-way Microsoft Outlook integration. Plus, Pointwing includes customizable and user created reports. Back office integration, alas, is not yet available nor are other desirable elements such as self-service and assessments modules. The company brochures says they are coming. -
StaffSuite
For the staffing firm that wants a complete front- and back-office package, VCG offers StaffSuite. Independently certified to scale to more than 1,000 users, StaffSuite offers complete recruiting/sales/CRM functionality and a comprehensive payroll/billing system, document management system, integration with Microsoft Outlook. Additional modules are available to create an online entry point for clients and candidates, assessments and time card management. -
TimeKeeper
VCG TimeKeeper is aweb-based timesheet application that integrates with StaffSuite and can be integrated with other 3rd party staffing software products. TimeKeeper streamlines timesheet data entry and approval process, saving time and improving payroll/billing efficiency. -
Gateway
VCG Gateway is a web-based Business Intelligence dashboard with graphical interface module that provides staffing and recruiting firms information by monitoring key performance indicators. -
SuccessCheck
VCG's SuccessCheck is an attitudinal and cognitive assessment module for staffing and recruitment firms to use to measure general intellectual, emotional, ethical and personality suitability for a job. The SuccessCheck module also integrates with StaffSuite WorldLink.
