TWC Group provided recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and human resources outsourcing (HRO) services. The internal Comsys unit managed staffing vendors, independently and on behalf of Comsys' mostly IT customers, and also provided project oversight, managing the work of consulting firms and others. In June, Comsys combined the groups into a single unit, branding it TAPFIN Process Solutions. TAPFIN now works in three primary areas: vendor management services, recruitment process outsourcing and services procurement management.
TAPFIN's 250 clients cut across several industries including healthcare, pharmaceutical, insurance and financial services, manufacturing, professional services, retail and telecommunications. These range from Fortune 500 firms to young companies in the emerging growth sector, where TWC had its roots. It began as a company that worked with venture capital firms to assemble the core management teams for startup companies that were being funded by the various VC firms with which it was working.
From Comsys TAPFIN gets its expertise in vendor management and services procurement. The latter is especially common with tech services, where projects and parts of projects may be outsourced to indpendent contractors and small code shops across the planet.
In addition, TAPFIN also offers human resources outsourcing and executive search.
One especially useful feature of the company website is the industry definitions. Here's how TAPFIN defines RPO: "Partial or full outsourcing of the internal recruitment function for the hiring of direct employees."
