In every problem there is an opportunity, and Sendouts is just such an example. The founders of Sendouts owned Integratia, a St. Louis-based software development company that managed software development projects and supplied onsite contract tech workers. As the company grew, it faced the challenges of hiring, placing and managing its ever-expanding contract workforce. The technology-sharp execs of Integratia developed their own recruitment management solution, then, recognizing an opportunity, created a Web-based ATS for the staffing and recruitment industry.

Sendouts Pro, the commercial version of the in-house program, was developed with $4 million in funding from private investors and VC firm Gryphon Investments. Today, eight years after founding Sendouts, the company has 600 firms onboard and has been profitable since fall 2002.

Its flagship product, Sendouts Pro, has now been joined by a staffing / recruiting network Sendouts Xchange, a splits-board, and Sendouts University, an online training resource.
