Rebasys is a website and software-development company that also offers hosting services from its offices in a marina on the English Channel, not far from the seaside resort of Brighton.
Its only commercial software product is CandidatePlus, a recruitment management system delivered over the Web. Rebasys appears to have acquired the product from PierSoft, a software company that previously was headquartered nearby. CandidatePlus is a low-cost solution for small- and mid-size businesses and recruiters; the last price we saw was a subscription charge of around $100 a month. There's nothing about the company management on the site, though there are one or two favorable comments about the company's customer support on recruitment forums. One thing to watch for: the company makes a point of saying CandidatePlus requires a Windows machine running Internet Explorer and MS Office. So if you are a MAC user, beware.

Designed for the U.K. market where agency placement is the norm, CandidatePlus has client management tools, as well as the usual candidate CRM. The online feature set description includes the usual tools and such novel features as text messaging and telephone integration that can automatically pull up the appropriate records based on the calling number.
