Qualigence is a recruitment research and professional search firm founded in 1999 by Stephen A. Lowisz, an entrepreneur who started the business in his basement with three employees. His idea was to create a unique recruiting organization that does more than headhunt. As a result, Qualigence clients pay by the hour for research. Its services range from name generation to assessment testing, recruitment training and business intelligence, by which they mean organizational information about competitors.

Qualigence insists that its sourcing services focus only on unearthing passive candidates. "We do not utilize databases or job boards to obtain information," says the company.

Headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, with additional offices in Cincinnati, Toledo, Ohio; and Chicago, Qualigence works with companies of all sizes and industries…most of which are Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies.
