OnTargetJobs is an investment play by private equity firm Warburg Pincus. In conjunction with CEO Allen Paschal, Warburg Pincus founded OnTargetJobs and provided its seed money. The company buys and manages niche job boards.
In February 2008, it acquired RegionalHelpWanted.com, a group of some 350 regionally oriented sites that partner with radio stations in each region. One report put the sale price at $100 million, though that number was not confirmed. In the fall of 2007, it acquired Canadian hospitality and retail job board JobLoft.com. It partners with Bizjournals.com, the online media division of American City Business Journals, exchanging editorial content and powering job listings in its niche fields. OnTargetJobs now runs job boards in pharmaceuticals and life sciences, healthcare, finance, accounting, insurance, retail, and hospitality. Some of its sites are impressive for the depth of content, career information, and listings.
