Kroll Background Screening is a division of Kroll, Inc. the global risk consulting company, which itself is an operating unit of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.
Kroll, a $1 billion a year business, offers a range of risk services such as corporate advisory and restructuring, investigations, financial advisory & intelligence, and of special interest to HR professionals, a full range of background screenings.
Kroll Background Screening was formerly InfoLink Screening Services, which Kroll acquired in 2006. In addition to standard employment verifications, the division offers employment physicals, behavioral assessments, complete background checking for current and potential hires and other related services.

Kroll, a global risk consulting company, appointed Phil McVey president of its Background Screening Division. McVey will lead the company's global pre-employment screening, identity management, data breach/fraud solutions, and corporate integrity verification businesses.McVey, 45, joins Kroll from USIS, where he served as president of the Commercial Services Division and worked on mergers and acquisitions. He was previously vice president of business operations at ADT Security Services.
