Kaonix is a leading recruitment solution in the British market. Its Web-cruit ATS is a sophisticated bit of recruitment technology in a market where the in-country offerings tend to be so-so, adequate perhaps for small firms that only recently graduated from simple spreadsheets or file-cabinet recruiting.
The company website does a fair job of detailing the products and features. But when it comes to telling the Kaonix story, the company falls short, failing, for instance, to note that its managing director, Stuart Mockford, has years of experience in the recruitment business, including five years with Kelly Services.
Kaonix was founded in 2000. In a complicated series of mergers and acquisitions, Kaonix eventually ended up with UC-Search, a product developed by Halcyon. It also inherited E-recruitnow and its job postings and applicant tracking system. In September 2007, the company announced the consolidation of a number of subsidiary companies into a new company, the major shareholder being Pertemps Investments of the U.K.-owned Pertemps Group of companies (the same ownership as jobs.co.uk which originally purchased e-cruitnow and Halcyon). What's interesting is that Pertemps, a major recruitment and employment agency in the U.K. with more than $500 million in revenue, was (and remains) a Kaonix client offering a testimonial to the firm in 2002.News & Updates
