Blame it on funny weather or a funky day on the Internet, but the first few times we tried to reach Instigate on the Web, we got a series of messages saying the site and email addresses were disabled. Before we totally wrote the company off, we placed a call and within an hour heard back from CEO Matt Schreyer, who was puzzled at our problems and confirmed that we had good info. Go figure. The next day we were getting through to the site with no problems, and left with a good impression of the company's responsiveness.
Schreyer even provided us with a little commercial about the company, telling us that Instigate offers an integrated approach to talent recruitment and management by providing a single source for Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Web-Based Employee Screening, and Talent Management Solutions.
The site itself tells you little about the company and its credentials, something we think critical when dealing with background checks. Its shopping cart approach to these tests and other checks, while efficient, always makes us a little uncomfortable. But that's just us.
The company has sales offices in Minneapolis, New York, Miami, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
