Assessment vendor Inscape Software (formerly HR Alloy) announced today a $7 million series B funding led by Solidarity Fund QFL. Inscape got the funding earlier this summer, but just announced it today.

Solidarity Fund is a labor-sponsored investment fund dedicated to investing in the economic development of Quebec, where Inscape is headquartered. Series A investors Rho Canada Ventures, L.P., Rho Investment Partners Canada, L.P. ("Rho") and Garage Technology Ventures Canada L.P. ("Garage") also participated.

Inscape Software will use the funding to continue the development of its innovative software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that helps organizations author and deploy selection, employee development and succession assessment solutions.

HR Alloy Inc., provider of on-demand integrated assessment solutions, has changed its corporate name to Inscape Software Inc.

The company chose Inscape because it refers to "the unique essence or inner nature of a person" and thus "evokes the company's mission of helping organizations obtain a more complete profile of their job applicants and candidates for promotion."
