Founder Kurt Ronn started HRworks after spending 17 years in the retail
industry as an executive with Federated Department Stores and Macy's.
His vision was to have a team of executive recruiters working
exclusively with Fortune 1000 companies.
Today, 10 years after its founding, HRworks has broadened its horizon and is a full-service staffing and recruiting firm that still has its ties to the Fortune list companies, but also works with private equity groups to support the transitional stages of businesses. In addition, HRworks provides specialized recruitment support for companies seeking experienced military leaders. The firm has also positioned itself as a specialist in the OFCCP-compliant recruiting space, a topic on which Ronn writes and speaks frequently.
The company takes a team approach to its services, leveraging the various talents in what it describes as an open environment.
The approach has obviously been successful; the firm has doubled in size every 13 months since its beginning. The company has also taken a public stance on charitable involvement, branding its efforts as CHARITYworks.
