Gabriels started in the software business providing an MLS-like listings program for New York City's Realtors real estate solution. The New York Times licensed the service and adapted it for use on the newspaper's website. A few years later, after earning accolades for its real estate and later, its automotive and classifieds products, Gabriels launched a job board.
The company's efforts have mostly focused on serving the publishing industry, but with the mergers and partnerships of major newspaper groups with job sites like Monster and HotJobs, Gabriels seems to be moving more aggressively into the employer career site side of the business. Alas, don't expect to find out much about the company or its employment product at the company website; it's one of the least helpful vendor sites we've come across.

Employment
Standard job board with nice flourishes that can make a handy career site for larger companies. It's publisher-orientation is evident in several of its features, which can be turned off. Requires regular hands-on site management.
