FKS International, was preaching "green" way before the current focus on the environment became all the rage. The company released its signature product in 2000 - PATS - Paperless Applicant Tracking System - with a focus toward helping eliminate the need for paperwork. The software is geared specifically to school districts, though also marketed to government, medical institutions and other institutions that face the particular challenge of adhering to HR procedures as deemed by a government entity. For instance, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Human Resources Staff signed and approved contracts to use a law enforcement version of PATS. The company has also designed other systems that are appropriate to their key markets, such as eHR-Portal (designed for DeKalb County School District), VISA (for volunteer management), and CPAS, Candidate Performance Assessment System designed for the George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development .
In addition to serving customers directly, the company offers its systems through partnerships such as the relationship announced in September 2007 with Maximus, a publically-traded company (NYSE:MMS) that offers special education and management systems to school districts and other government service institutions.
Vault says the company "was founded as an Order Management Cycle consulting firm. FKS is able to provide a wide array of Information System consulting knowledge to its clients."
