Enwisen was founded in 1994 by Frank McCormack to satisfy a need for a cost-efficient way for employers to communicate benefit plan information to employees. In 1999, the company brought in a new CEO to help the company get funding, and ultimately landed investments from Altos Ventures, Bellagio Partners, Contrarian Group Investments, Rogers Investment, and Tri-City Insurance.
