The Employment Guide was founded in 1997 when its previous owner, Trader Publishing Company, bought The Detroit Employment Guide.
Since 2006, Dominion Enterprises has been wholly owned by Landmark Communications. Dominion was originally formed in 1991. It publishes more than 500 specialty publications such as For Rent, Homes.com, Boat Trader, Cycle Trader, and RV Trader and more than 40 speciality websites. In the employment arena, Dominion also owns Jobalot, (www.Jobalot.com), an aggregator of targeted and niche job boards.
