This pre-employment background checks and screening firm was founded as Background Information Services, Inc. In April 2007, the company made a corporate name change to employeescreenIQ both to match its corporate branding to the website and to position itself as part of the smarter hiring process so necessary in today's world.

Name aside, the company has obviously been doing a number of things intelligently; from 2005-2007, the firm ranked in the top-15 fastest-growing companies in Northeast Ohio. The execs at employeescreenIQ credit that growth to their positioning as a firm that goes after the mid-to-top-tier customers; larger firms that require more than a standard package. By providing a best practices approach to background checks and pre-employment screening, the company is able to provide customized programs for its customers that help corporations stay abreast and compliant with applicable regulations in each location.

Co-founder and COO Jason Morris is a licensed private investigator and was previously VP of operatioins for a Cleveland private investigation firm. He is also an expert witness in the areas of background checks, employment screening, and the FCRA.

Recruitment blogger and search engine marketer Joel Cheesman has done work for the company and posted this recommendation for company co-founder Nick Fishman on LinkedIn: “Nick is an outstanding client and businessman.”
