Emerald Software specializes in providing automation software for routine HR processes such as onboarding, verification, employee provisioning and personnel action notifications. These are packaged together in a single product Emerald brands.
AllegroHR. It began offering the suite in Sept. 2007 and is the company's only commercialized product. Emerald does custom build other applications for companies.
AllegroHR is sold in licensed, hosted and managed versions, offering companies a choice of deployment and implementation models depending on needs and capabilities. In any flavor, however, AllegroHR integrates with other HR systems and in particular with iRecruiter, the ATS product offered by Emerald partner iCIMS.
Emerald was founded by Chuck Ros and Jeff Hayden in 1992 in the Gulf coast town of Gulfport, Miss. (hence the original name of Emerald Coast Software). It initially focused on enterprise content management and business process automation, before developing the individual HR solutions that now make up the AllegroHR suite.
