This parent company has fingers in many areas. It has a design arm that manages the web IT for 600 clients and over the years has designed and built some 11,000 websites, according to the company. It runs a few job boards for physicians, including JobBoardForDocs and medstaffrecruit.com, sells data on young doctors and medical students (eDataDoc.com), and has a physician recruiting software called IPHYSx (Internet Physician Exchange). The company description says: "The primary business plan for Edata called for the providing of high speed database and web servers to hospitals throughout the U.S."
In time, Data On The Web designed corporate career sites and managed the data, which appears to have led the company to leverage its recruiting knowledge building its own medical job boards and the recruiting software.

Physician recruiting software that includes access to the doctor recruiting job boards run by EData Alliance. Costs start at $90 for one seat, for the over the Web service. The cost for each additional drops rapidly to a low of $25 for six users; for more the price is negotiated. Features as described on the site are fairly general, but seem to include the tracking tools recruiters most want. One unusual touch: The company has the name and contact information for several clients right on the site so buyers can check out IPHYSX even before contacting the sales department.
