Dillistone Systems was established by a former retained search consultant, David Dillistone, in 1983. He discovered a need for software designed to manage the executive search process, which is different from more routine recruiting. Thus was born FILEFINDER.
Executive recruiters are less interested in the candidates whose resumes appear on job boards than they are in ferreting out top quality workers who aren't looking to make a change, the passive candidates who today are coveted by most recruiters. FILEFINDER places a heavy emphasis on the sourcing part of the job, letting you target an individual or company. As FILEFINDER established its niche - it's used by recruiters in some 57 countries - Dillistone expanded to include features and functions for corporate recruiters and interim management placement.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the company has offices in Hoboken, New Jersey, across the river from New York City, Dallas, London, Frankfurt and Sydney. In 2006 the company went public on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
Sales and profits growth in both the UK and European markets has been particularly strong,though the US and Asia Pacific were the strongest growth areas in 2008.The bulk of the revenue comes from FILEFINDER but the firm also publishes a search-consult magazine and runs industry conferences, training workshops and webinars.

New FILEFINDER Version Has New Research Power (Company PR)
Dillistone Systems, provider of software and services to the executive search community, has released a new version of FILEFINDER.
It's new “Research Zone” technology allows users to identify and research senior executives who may be found in various websites – including newspaper aggregators, corporate websites and social networks. The Research Zone takes target company lists identified by the researcher, and returns potential candidates, biographies, compensation information and even organization charts.
