It's hard to know if Don Archer and his partner Dave Byers were among the recruiters the Coolersoft website says designed and built Mploy, the company's online ATS.
They are, however, among the principals behind the company.
Do a little Googling and you'll find Byers' passion is extreme mountain biking. Do a little poking around on the Coolersoft site and you'll stumble across Archer's photography portfolio.
All very interesting, but we'd like to know something about the people behind Coolersoft. With dozens of staffing software systems on the market, it's hard to choose.
Our "sourcing" project did turn up Joe Borden, a self-described God Chaser and part-owner of Coolersoft who also happens to own Wired For Hire, a technical staffing services company, that shares the same PO address with Coolersoft in Frisco, Texas. Archer is a software architect.
With the who's who Coolersoft mystery solved (well, partially, because the Coolersoft physical address is in Driggs, Idaho, where Byers lives), we can tell you that the company's Mploy product is an ATS for the staffing industry that also has versions for corporate recruiters and a basic ATS.
Provisioning is entirely online. And the site says the software was designed to minimize data entry by recruiters. The products integrate with Microsoft Outlook and include a parser that can handle inbound resumes as docs or emails.
Our look around the product features and a sampling of onlne demo videos shows us that mploy is a basic ATS and CRM system that is probably suitable for smaller firms. One deficiency: mploy does not appear to have an online job listings component.
