As a recruitment process outsourcer, CRI offers both full-service and on-demand recruitment, which covers a range of services from provisioning to consulting. The company has a blue-chip roster of clients including KB Homes, Nestle, and Disney, and it must be doing something right since its growth earned it a place on Inc. magazine's 2003 list of the fastest- growing companies and, in 2006, it made HRO Today magazine's list of the top RPO firms, filling some 8,500 positions in 2005 from end-to-end assignments.
CRI provides it clients a modularized approach to RPO, beginning with the consulting stage where, unlike the typical staffing firm, CRI will map the existing workforce against the client's business goals and needs garnering both a feel for the company culture and developing an employer brand. This step, which CRI calls CRI Consult, is followed by three more modules which, as you might expect, include sourcing, screening, and finally onboarding. Sure, all good RPOs follow a similar path, but few describe it as energetically as CRI does on its website. It's worth a look just to see the graphics and animation.
Every good staffing and RPO firm depends on technology and the bigger the firm, the more dependent it is. Only a few, however, have built and market their own ATS; CRI does under the brand PeopleCapital. It's part of the package its RPO clients can use to power their career sites. It performs all the standard functions including posting to job boards, providing a branded company career portal, searching, CRM, calendaring, etc. More than that, it's Talent Experience feature says it can intelligently parse a resume (in multiple formats) and match a candidate to available jobs. It's Intelligent search feature claims a conceptual matching capability that not only permits keyword searching, but, according to the description, understands words in relation to each other and can ferret out candidates who match the search and also match related words. It's a useful tool to help rank candidates.
