Some jobs are so secret they can't be publicized. Well, let's call that "sensitive" rather than "secret."
No matter what you call it, though, being a recruiter for a government agency with a job opening that can't be publicized is not easy. Enter ClearedConnections - a job board that accepts resumes only from people with secruity clearances, and allows searching only by agencies and contractors cleared for sensitive or secret government work.
But, in keeping with the whole stealth mode, the job board talks very little about itself, hence the paucity of information about the founding, revenue, employees, and history. We ran an Internet registration check on the site and discovered the name, ClearedConnections.com, was registered in 2002 by its founder, Robert Esti. He wrote us, though, to say it was founded in 1999.
And, here's an interesting tid bit: Alexa, the traffic measurment and ranking site, says ClearedConnections.com ranks well out of the top 100,000 sites in traffic in the U.S. But, in Iraq, it ranks as number 3,832. U.S. military and contractors looking for jobs? We'll just have to assume that we're not cleared for this data.
