Checkster has taken the pre-employment reference check, 360-degree employee reviews and an individual assessment, and created an online/email process allowing for faster, more objective results.
The company was founded by Yves Lermusi (aka Lermusiaux), former president of Taleo Research (TLEO) and founder of iLogos whose goal was to leverage technology and research in both performance and neuroscience.
Lermusiaux told us that his hope for Checkster is that it will give individuals and organizations the tools to help them recognize and grow their talent. Checkster, he wrote us, "aims to improve the world's productivity and harmony by increasing job fit and work achievement, as well as personal career satisfaction and fulfillment."

360 Checkup Overview
Checkster's 360 Checkup is a web-based feedback tool that simplifies and accelerates the usually time-intensive 360 performance feedback process. Two versions of the service are available: There's a free service individuals can use on their own to learn how colleagues and others see them and their performance; and a paid, employer's version. Intuitive graphical reports boost personal performance and increase team productivity. -
Reference Checkup
A web-based tool that is sent to the prospective employee who enters email addresses of references including employer, supervisors and colleagues. The confidential reference tool is then emailed to the references who then rate the candidate in several areas and can also offer additional comments. Checkster compiles the data and presents two reports: one to the candidate and a more detailed one that includes rankings, to the employer. In both cases the individual responses of the references are anonymous; data is reported in the aggregate. Employers are charged for the service. -
Employment Verification
You won't find this tool on the website, but the company tells us any employer can use the verification tool free. It complements the reference checkup, but can be used stand alone to verify a candidate's existing employment. You'll need to use the online free trial form to learn how.
