Capital H Group is an HR and business process consulting firm, focused on the talent side. Its services fall into three broad areas: strategy clarification and alignment, organization design and effectiveness, and talent services. The first two areas focus on a broad corporate structural analysis; the talent services include RPO, as well as the entire range of recruitment and talent management function. This can include succession planning, leadership training, or the reengineering of the recruitment and on-boarding process for rapidly growing companies. The company was initially founded as Capital H, Inc. It became Capital H Group in May 2003 when it was acquired by Dan Weinfurter (founder and former CEO of consulting firm Parson Group) and Greg Silich (former global CFO of Leo Burnett Worldwide). The two then brought in a third partner, Keith Swenson, former worldwide partner in Mercer's Human Resources Consulting Group. The new team promptly went about raising funds, and with a $26 million capital commitment from PPM America, Capital Partners began opening new offices and expanding the employee base from eight to 175. In June 2006, FTVentures committed an additional $25 million in capital to fund further organic expansion and acquisition strategy. In November of that year, the company acquired Lambert & Associates, Inc., a Chicago-based diversity and inclusion consulting firm founded in 1986. In 2007, it acquired the U.K.-based Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD).
In August 2007, Capital H Group was ranked 134th on Inc. magazine's annual listing of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the United States, noted for its growth of nearly 1,400% in the previous three years.
