BusinessWare Services, Inc. (BWSI) was founded in 1981 to provide help for the data processing needs of small businesses in the Phoenix area. But, since 1996, BWSI has focused on providing solutions to the staffing industry. The company's "History" page on its website (inexplicably illustrated with a photo of Abraham Lincoln's seated statue at the Memorial in Washington, D.C.), says that a few years after it was founded, BWSI joined with a funding company specializing in staffing to provide an integrated funding and full-service payroll and billing processing as a linked service.

Today, the company offers a complete front- and back-office solution for staffing companies, with a specialty product for medical/healthcare staffing providers. Through its partnership with ADP, BWSI offers back-office outsourcing, handling payroll, time management, and tax and compliance management.
