BRANDEMiX (pronounced brand-em-ix) a comunications advertising and marketing firm with a client roster that includes Avon, Bloomingdale's and New York Life. It's focus is not exclusively recruitment, but it's developed integrated employment campaigns for dozens of firms, using online, print, billboards, email and movie ads, among the media.
Click into the About Us section and you learn that BRANDEMiX founder and president Jody Ordioni has worked in advertising and marketing communications for 20 years, has a passion for technology and design, and is a true-believer in the power of branding.
Here are a few more details we dug up. First off, Ordioni is a gutsy founder who cashed in some of her 401(k) to start the business. Before that, she spent 12 years working for Bernard Hodes, rising to senior VP with responsibility for a $10 million branch office. She is joined at BRANDEMiX by another Hodes expatriate, Dawn Carr, a former national accounts manager.
That background and smarts comes through both in the company's portfolio and its case studies. For Kaplan Higher Education BRANDEMiX developed an employee referral program that makes heavy use of online resources, including networking sites MySpace and Facebook. Kaplan also shows up on billboards and movie ads in the portfolio.
We particularly enjoyed IheartHR.com, a site built by BRANDEMiX to "make us laugh." The videos are clever, fun and worth a visit, reflecting favorably on the creativity and sense of humor at BRANDEMiX. So why is there no mention on the company site? Got us.
