This is an employer HR resource non-profit for Arizona companies. It has its roots in labor relations, but has broadened its services and mission in the last half-century to encompass the full range of Human Relations.

Today, the Arizona Employer's Council provides training, advice on HR issues, offers sample employee handbooks and policies, keeps on top of state and federal labor rules, helps with some of the routine paperwork issues like negotiating with vendors for background checks, I-9 verification and even drafting responses to EEOC inquiries.

The non-profit's website lists the range of services, which are even more extensive than our list.

While many other states have similar employer service centers, the Arizona Employer's Council also runs a job board it brands as Jobstore. It's an apt name because there's more to offer than just job posting and resume searching. It lists job fairs, service discounts and other resources, many of them that link right back to the main site.

The job board, however, is unique. Jobseekers can post their resumes and search jobs in the typical fashion. But there are also assessments they can take for free, putting them into a "preferred pool."

In submitting the listing for VendorWatch, the AEC wrote:

"Why use the Assessed Preferred Pool? The Preferred Pool will serve as an indication that the jobseeker is serious and wants to find that right fit. It is a place where you, the employer, can have applicants directed to your job posting and take these assessments free of charge. The employer will also have the ability to post their jobs in both pools, creating double the exposure with significant savings."

Products & Services

  • AEC Jobstore

A unique sort of job board and recruitment resource center. Specifically for Arizona employers, this regional site accepts postings from members of the Arizona Employers' Council, but it goes one better. It offers them a host of recruitment related services in one place including I-9 verification, e-Learning programs and much more. Many of the resource links simply go back to the main AEC site. The job board, offline in mid-January, allows member employers to post jobs and search resumes and the obligatory assessments that potential candidates take to use the site.
