This is one of the better niche sites we've come across. No mere job board, this is a site where accounting professionals can find a good array of resources specifically for them.
Besides the de rigeur resume writing tips and cover letters, there are a few sample financial resumes, which are handy for comparing and for jogging a job hunter's memory. Recruiters, too, will appreciate the model job descriptions for dozens of typical accounting jobs from Accounts Receivable to corporate treasury positions.
Some of the services are on the site because they share revenue; others are just the kind of thing up-and-coming young professionals will want to know about. All of them though are focused on the accounting world.
Compared to the traffic of a JobsIntheMoney, AccountingJobsToday pales in comparison. But its growth has been steady and it ranks on the first page of a Google search for "accounting jobs," so clearly founder Todd Goldstein is doing something right.
Perhaps it's because of his 20 years recruiting for both public accounting firms and private sector companies, but his business model allows employers to preview a resume before deciding to buy. Like what you see? The cost is $35 to connect with the candidate. Or you can puy flat-rate searching.
Job posting is standard pay to post. But in addition to appearing on AccountingJobsToday, listings arecross-posted to other sites, including to the aggregators. That's both good and bad. Good in that an employer gets much wider visibility for a listing than AccountingJobsToday alone can offer. Bad in the sense that you lose the targeting.
One thing we wish the site had was some networking element. Granted these things are hard to start and harder yet to sustain. Still, bringing in the career-minded passive professional takes work and that would be one way of helping develop that audience. We suspect this might be on the horizon since the company blog, such as it is, is on the Ning social networking platform.
One thing is sure, this is a site to watch and try.

Boolean-based database search is free. You pay only when you find a candidate promising enough to contact. Site claims there are 200,000 resumes, which, for a young site, means the bulk have been acquired from elsewhere. Still, the cost to connect with a candidate is only $35. There are bulk packages available. -
Job Postings
There are 30-, 45-, 60-day and unlimited posting packages. Single postings are $225 for 30 days. All postings are redistributed via various networks including Oodle, JobTarget, Indeed and SimplyHired.
