SucessFactors Gains Ground in Healthcare Industry Aug 5, 2008
A day before Wall Street expects SuccessFactors, Inc. to announce a money-losing quarter, the company issued a press release announcing "continued success in customer acquisition in the patient care industry."
Perhaps hoping to blunt the bad news (which might not quite so bad, since the company has now twice surprised analysts by doing less poorly than expected), the company said it "added 25 healthcare entities which represented 45 hospitals in 2007, and is rapidly extending its customer adoption in 2008."

A new survey from CareerBuilder says 49 percent)of hiring managers reported catching a candidate lying on their resume.And when they did, 57 percent tossed out the applicant. Curiously, 6 percent hired the liar.
The most common lies are:
- Embellished responsibilities - 38 percent
- Skill set - 18 percent
- Dates of employment - 12 percent
- Academic degree - 10 percent
- Companies worked for - 7 percent
- Job title - 5 percent

Monster Buys Trovix And Beats The Street Jul 31, 2008

It bought jobmatcher Trovix (profile; site) for $72.5 million; settled that class action shareholder lawsuit over the stock options backdating for $25 million and managed to beat Wall Street's expectations for its 2nd quarter financial performance earning 40 cents a share excluding one-time expenses.
